High-sensitivity analysis of chlorpyrifos-methyl (5ppb)
The effect of filament potential on the ion source is reduced by placing more distance
between the filament and ion source box, and installing a shield plate. The result
is that generated ions are transported more efficiently to the MS. Filament shielding
ensures efficient ion transport to the detector while protecting thermally labile
compounds. (patent pending)
Overdrive Lens
(Noise Elimination Technology)
The installation of an overdrive lens, in front of the electron multiplier, has
reduced the random noise that occurs with ion transmission, improving the S/N ratio.
Through the application of a voltage to the lens reduces, the noise component in
the vicinity of the lens is reduced, and the effect of focusing ions from the mass
filter improves the S/N ratio. (Patent: US6737644)
