Single Quadrupole GC-MS Instruments


A large-capacity differential exhaust turbomolecular pump and a high-performance flow controller ensure that the utmost in sensitivity is obtained under all conditions used for GC. AOC Series Auto Injectors and Auto Samplers

Shimadzu offers a liquid autosampler for every price point and sample capacity need. The liquid autosamplers dramatically improve the work efficiency and reliability of GC analysis. No matter your budget or total sample count there is an autosampler combination to fit all laboratory needs.

AOC-6000 Plus

The AOC-6000 Plus Multifunctional Autosampler enables various syringes injections, including liquid injection, headspace (HS) injection, and solid-phase microextraction (SPME) injection. The automatic syringe exchange RTC (Robotic Tool Changer) function enables continuous sample injection using different syringes. By combining with the Twin Line MS system, different analytical methods such as SPME and HS can be performed continuously without changing the column.

Frontier Lab Pyrolyzer

Not all GC and GCMS samples can be liquid or gas, sometimes solids like plastics need to be analyzed. Using the PY-3030 operators can characterize virtually any organic material, from biomass to synthetic polymers using single- or dual-stage pyrolysis. The backflush gas chromatography system discharges high-boiling point components efficiently through the injection port split vent to reduce analysis time, and prevent column deterioration and detector contamination.

Heart-Cut System

The heart cutting system uses two chromatographic columns with different separation characteristics to separate specific compounds from complex original samples for quantitation. It can achieve high separation analysis which cannot be achieved
 by single chromatographic column.

Detector Splitting System

This system splits compounds eluting from an analytical column to multiple detectors to obtain multiple chromatograms, saving laboratories time and money.

Boosted efficiency ion source (BEIS)

As the capabilities of GC-MS/MS equipment have improved in recent years, it has come to be used for analysis of toxic compounds such as POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants). Equipment sensitivity is of great importance for the analysis of low concentrations of these highly-toxic compounds,.
The BEIS (Boosted Efficiency Ion Source) maximizes ionization efficiency through optimizing the focal point of the electron beam in EI ionization. This achieves 4 times the sensitivity of previous ion sources, allowing reliable analyses of low concentrations that until now have not been possible. This is effective for analyzing POPs in environmental samples.
